Fairytale Princess Visits provides Shared Experiences.

How to best host your Shared Experience.

Shared Experiences were created with family and friends in mind, designed for group participation. As professional event planners, we an imaginative and entertaining environment for your guests, and treat your home like a “royal place”. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

 

For the best Shared Experience, please ask onlookers keep the noise level to a minimum, so the children do not get distracted and can adequately hear our instructions and stories. If you have guests that would rather socialize than participate, please provide a seperate area for them.  We want those who are invested in the Shared Experience to enjoy the magic free from distractions.

 

If you prefer not to have a Shared Experience, you may opt for a Meet & Greet Experience, (60 minutes, $185 per character) where your character(s) mingle with guests and pose for photos. 

 

 

Child Supervision

We are not a daycare service, nor is it our job to discipline or attend to a child who is acting out or who may simply need some parental guidance or care. We are entertainers putting on a show.  We ask that particpating adults attend to any child that is uncooperative or causing a distraction so the other children can enjoy the performance. 

 

While performing certain physical activities, such as dancing, we ask that parents assist toddlers or children with special needs for their own safety and enjoyment of the activity. We ask that parents also assist toddlers and special needs children (when applicable) during structured activities (like the coronation ceremony) to allow the activity to play out as smoothly as possible. 

 

 

Children with special needs

We love working with special needs children! They are awesome souls! Please let us know in advance if a child at your party requires any kind of special care or attention. We have experience working with all kinds of children and want to make our special needs and spectrum kids as comfortable as we can during our experiences. We will accommodate you any way that we can!

 

 

Casting

We do our best to fulfill client requests for a specific actor, however, specific actors are not guaranteed due to unforseen illness or family emergencies. We can promise that no matter which actor is sent to your party, he/she will look exactly like the picture and perform beautifully. We take casting and training very seriously. 

 

 

Outdoor Visits

Many princess companies do not offer outdoor parties as an option. We, however, feel that parties may be held outdoors, but only if the circumstances meet the following requirements: 

 

  • The temperature is between 60 and 80 degrees

  • It is not rainy or windy

  • It is not muddy*

 

If such conditions exist, we require alternative accommodations and your character will request the party be moved indoors before she can begin. This is to ensure your performer is safe and at her best at your party, and that the activities go smoothly! We may ask for conformation of alternate accommodations. 

 

*Please also be aware, that even if it is not currently raining at the time of your event, you may be required to have the party indoors if it has been raining within the last few hours. 

 

 

 

Number of Child Guests:

Character visits work best with a maximum 15 PARTICIPATING guests. 

 

 

Inquiries

Inquiries do not place a hold on your date and character and does not ensure your booking. Availability may change at any time after your inquiry is sent. Your party is not officially booked until your payment of the deposit is received

 

 

Deposit Required

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your party date and character. All deposits are due upon receipt of deposit invoice via Square Register, which clients receive via email. Deposits can only be paid by credit or debit online. We do not accept checks or cash for deposits. The deposit only books your for the time, date and character listed on the invoice.

 

 

Timing is important!

We are not responsible for lost time if your character arrives on time but is instructed to wait. All activities are carefully planned out, and any child arriving late may join the activities at the point that they have progressed.  This is necessary to ensure the least amount of disruption to the party. Scheduling a character’s visit to be at least 20-30 minutes after the guest’s arrival will help ensure everyone is present and settled before your character’s entrance!

 

 

Performer Arrival

Character will park within short walking distance to the party (though ideally not immediately in front of the party, in order to preserve the magic!). We recommend that you keep the children away from street facing windows at the performer's expected arrival time to maintain a magical entrance.

 

 

Remaining Balance 

Please have your balance ready to give to your performer/artist before they leave the party. The remaining balance is due at the time of your party,  in cash,  to your performer/artist.  It is your responsibility to keep track of time and have your payment ready; talent cannot wait after the end time of the visit as  he/she may have another party immediately after yours. We also ask that you make the payment discreet (such as using an envelope) to ensure we do not spoil the magic for any of your guests!

 

 

Gratuities

You are more than welcome to tip your performer(s)/artist(s) for the work they do at your party. Our cast spends a great deal of time studying the stories, recreating the makeup, and learning the ins and outs of their specific characters, as well as rehearsing dances and songs for their performances. Our Pro FX Artists have had years of training to hone their special effects skills. Though gratuity is never expected, it is greatly appreciated! 

 

 

Road Closures/Detours/Traffic Accidents/Construction

Please be by your phone prior to the party should your performer need assistance prior to the party. Although we do our best to arrive early, traffic issues are sometimes unforseen and can delay a performer 5-10 minutes of their scheduled arrival time.

 

In these instances, the performer is required to safely contact you from her location with his/her ETA.  Performers assess traffic conditions before traveling, and always pad their travel time. We ask that you notify us immediately if you know of any traffic issues that may affect travel to your party. A delayed arrival time does not shorten the length of your visit. 

 

 

Inclement weather/Illness 

In the case of severe weather Fairytale Princess Visits reserves the right to reschedule your party. You will not forfeit your deposit should this happen.

 

 

Cancellations and rescheduling

Once your party is booked and the deposit is paid, if you decide to cancel your party for any reason, the deposit is non-refundable. Should you need to postpone your party, we will do what we can to accommodate but it may result in the forfeiture of the deposit or a $50 postponement fee.

 

 

Distance and Travel Fee 

A travel fee of $.50/mile after the first 60 miles of travel per character will be added for any party from the performer's zip code. 

 

 

Liability

Fairytale Princess Visits' owners and performers assume no responsibility or liability for accidents, allergies relating to crafts or make-up, injuries to party guests, or property damage.  As professional event planners, we can assure you we will provide a safe and entertaining environment for your guests, and will treat you home like a “royal palace”.

 

 

Skin Allergies

Makeover and Pro FX Face Painting packages offers non-toxic, water-based, FDA approved makeup, lip gloss, blush, eye shadow and/or glitter tattoos. We use separate q-tips for color applied to the mouth. Although we have never had a reported incident of allergic reaction to any of these cosmetics, it is the responsibility of the client to check with the guests for skin allergies or sensitivities. 

 

 

Customer Terms & Agreements

Prices subject to change without notice. Gratuity is greatly appreciated with party packages, but is not required. For packages of 15+ guests, a gratuity of 15% will be automically added to the total. For packages with 20+ guests, a 20% gratuity with be added to the total. 

 

 

Photography

If you do not wish to have your party photos posted on our website or advertising, please let us know. Otherwise, we reserve the right to post your party photos as an example of our parties. We never use any names as subtitles of our photos.

 

 

Clients are responsible for providing the following (when applicable):

  • 1 table (no smaller than card table size) and 2 chairs for Pro FX Face Painting/Makeovers 

  • A chair/place to sit for each character/princess (with room in front for children to sit) for storytime & introductions

  • Adequate room for dancing and games (character/princess party)

  • Gathering space for parents or the guests to watch the show/enjoy the experience (character/princess party).

  • A smoke free environment (all parties)

  • Parking (for parties within city limits, all parties)

  • Client remains with the party at all times (all parties)
